Russia’s Gazprom sells 10% in Interconnector (UK) Ltd to Fluxys

MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Belgian gas transporting company Fluxys has purchased a 10% stake in Interconnector (UK) Ltd from Russian gas giant Gazprom, Fluxys said in a statement on Thursday without disclosing financial details of the deal.

“Fluxys has signed a contract with Gazprom to buy a 10% stake in Interconnector (UK) Ltd, the owner of a natural gas pipeline between the U.K. and Belgium. The deal was successfully closed today,” it said.

Gazprom’s stake in Interconnector (UK), established in 1994, amounted to 10%. The share of Fluxys in the operator rose to 35% on the results of the deal.
